About the Captains

Capt. Shawn McCormick

Capt. Shawn grew up on Merritt Island and has been fishing the Space Coast’s inland waters from a very early age. Son of a renowned commercial fisherman, Capt. Shawn has been chasing a wide variety of inshore saltwater fish on the Indian River Lagoon and the Banana River. Capt. Shawn’s goal for his clients is to help them experience the same thrills of fishing that he continues to enjoy in his home waters. “If I am lucky enough to host you as my next client, I look forward to providing you with the insight I’ve learned over the years on these waters. I’ll do my best to put you on the fish that have made me want to do this every day”, says Capt. Shawn.

Scott

Capt. Scott Goodwin

Capt. Scott grew up fishing in Kentucky but quickly adapted his obsession with fishing to saltwater after a move to Florida in the mid-80s. After getting a degree in biology, he decided he liked catching fish more than studying them and thus kicked off a 34-year career in the sportfishing industry. Capt. Scott spends much of his time chasing offshore fish, but inshore and coastal saltwater fishing are one of his favorites. Capt. Scott’s patient and calming instruction has helped thousands of clients learn and enjoy the thrill and variety of saltwater fishing. “I never want to take for granted the amazing sights and displays of nature I see on the water. Seeing the reaction of clients getting to experience our amazing waters renews my love of it!”, said Capt. Scott.

About the Area:

Central Florida’s Space Coast is home to many attractions including many theme parks and attractions in Orlando and the Kenedy Space Center. Aside from man-made activities, the natural splendor of the area abounds in the coastal lagoons. Your adventure will begin from Marker 24 Marina on Merritt Island. Nestled on the Banana River and connected to the Indian River Lagoon, your trip will offer a wide variety of wildlife opportunities in addition to our amazing inshore fishing. The Indian River Lagoon is teeming with life from native birds such as the pelicans and blue herons to the mangrove trees which surround the sandy shores. We often encounter dolphins, manatees, turtles and of course the many species of beautiful gamefish in which we’ll be in pursuit.

About the Boat:

You will be fishing out of a 24-foot Hell’s Bay Estero equipped with a 300 horsepower Mercury V8 engine. Speed and incredible ride are the hallmark features of the famous Hell’s Bay brand. The Estero garnishes dual 10’ power poles to stop on a dime as well as a top-of-the-line Power Pole Move trolling motor featuring spot lock to keep us on the bite. A tower and second station will aid in sight fishing while the T-top provides some welcome shade. Dual live wells will hold plenty of bait and there is ample room in the fish box when our catch is legal and delicious. There’s plenty of storage space for your belongings to be stored safely dry. A 105-quart cooler provides plenty of room for your food and drinks for the day.
